WHY COUNSELLING?

WHY COUNSELLING?

Is counselling for me? will it help?
Counselling isn’t always an easy process and you may be discussing sensitive topics that you haven’t spoken about before. However if you feel you would like us to work together to build a relationship in which you feel safe to begin this process, then you may find that through counselling you start to make changes.
We can have a conversation and see if I am the right therapist for you.
I understand you may feel vulnerable sharing this information, and you will be free to go at your own pace with a therapist who will listen.

WHY COUNSELLING?

"A counsellor will not give you their opinions or advice, or prescribe medication. They will help you find your own solutions – whether that’s making effective changes in your life, or finding ways of coping with your problems" (BACP)

More information about counselling can be found here:
What is counselling? (bacp.co.uk)

How long will counselling last?
We will have an initial session and discuss what is right for you- each client is individual.
We could start off with short term counselling -6 weeks or discuss if long term is the best option for you.
